Christian Greetings:
God, My Lord Jesus, you are
our source for without you there is no hope in
our world and in our lives. With you Lord
there is peace, confidence, hope, faith and a
wonderful future. Lift up your church at this
hour Lord, we must realize with Christ we can
do all things. Let your glory be manifested
through your people for we are a mighty people
who shall prevail no matter what the situation
or circumstances might bring. We were and are
created for greatness for we are a mighty
people of God and we shall prevail for His
glory. Thank you Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
I found this note, dated
May 5, 2009, written and signed by me in my
Bible as I was doing my morning devotions
today. Oh, what an encouragement to me it was.
You see, we need to look back at the battles
we have been through and how the Lord brought
us through to victories.
Habakkuk 3:17, "Although the fig
tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be
in the vines; the labor of the olive shall
fail, and the fields shall yield no meat, the
flock shall be cut off from the fold, and
there shall be no herd in the stalls: v18
Yet I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
v19 the Lord God is my strength, and He
will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and He
will make me to walk upon mine high places…"
Habakkuk testifies that he served God not for
what He gave, but because He was God. Even in
the midst of God’s judgment on Judah (v16),
Habakkuk chose to rejoice in the Lord; God
would be his salvation and an unfailing source
of strength. He knew beyond a doubt that a
righteous remnant would survive the Babylonian
invasion, and he proclaimed with confidence
the ultimate victory of al who live by faith
in God.
"I will rejoice in the
Lord" was Habakkuk’s reply when things went
from bad to worse. He knew God was faithful to
His Word and so should we. Many of God’s
people and ministries are facing great trials
in this hour. God’s plan for your life and
ministry does not change because of the
circumstances that surround us.
We must hold fast to the
last order that was given us until He chooses
to re-direct or change our course. I must have
been going through a trial when I wrote that
in my bible, Praise God! We prevailed because
we are still here moving forward. Maybe a
little slower, but nevertheless we are moving
forward. Storms will come and storms will go
and we remain steadfast because we are
standing on the Rock that will never budge no
matter how great the storm. I thank God for
His provision even when there are more bills
than finances. I thank God for health even
when doctors diagnose the worse. I thank God
for strength even when I am weak. I thank God
for the ministry He has given us even when we
are weary from serving. I thank God for His
faithfulness when our faith seems to lack.
Most of all I thank God for His love that
never fails. I want to thank you who pray for
our ministry. I feel your prayers as I travel
thousands of miles a month and I thank the
Lord for you as I see the lost saved, the sick
healed and the captives set free. And thank
you who give generously and sacrificially to
keep us on the road and bring provision into
our home.
I want to ask your help to
pay for our engine we purchased for our
ministry van. As you know from our last
newsletter we needed to get a new ministry
vehicle or replace the motor in our existing
van. We found a motor with 54,000 miles as our
old one had 230,000 miles and was experiencing
problems. It cost $750 for the motor and
$1,250 to install for a total of $2,000. If
the Lord speaks to your heart please help us
to cover this cost. Thank you. Others of you
might want to support us monthly. If everyone
that we send newsletters out to would support
us monthly we would meet our monthly budget.
Please pray about being a partner with us. God
bless you all.
Please send your prayer
requests to us also and if you feel led to
call I will pray for you personally. I have
many testimonies of those prayed for over the
phone and the Lord has met their need.
God Bless You,
Evangelist Maynard LaVallie
